Fill a bowl with the water and add the vinegar. Soak the wool socks in it, wring them out gently and pull them over your feet and calves. Wrap the dry towel around the socks to prevent the bed from becoming soaked. The vinegar stimulates the blood circulation and supports the immune system in fighting the pathogens. The vinegar stocking must also not be used if you have chills or cold hands and feet.

The tuber stimulates blood circulation, acts against pathogens and reduces fever. You can drink ginger grated or chopped in hot water as tea or in your soup.

Anyone who is sick needs a lot of sleep and, above all, a lot of fluids. Particularly sweat-inducing teas such as rose hip peels as well as elderberry and linden blossom are suitable for this. You can buy the mixture at the pharmacy or put it together yourself. To do this, you take about 30 grams each of the linden and elderflower and 20 grams of the rosehip peels. Pour the mixture up with hot water and let it steep for about ten minutes.   

honey

Honey is a  natural antibiotic and supports the immune system. It can be enjoyed in tea or as a spread.

Lower fever with medication

If you have a fever, you can also use medication. Paracetamol and ibuprofen have proven effective as antipyretic agents . Both have a pain reliever effect, but do not combat the cause. With children you should pay attention to an age-appropriate dosage. Get advice from the pharmacy or pediatrician.
